World Cup 2026 in Toronto

BMO Field—renamed to “Toronto Stadium” during the World Cup—is a modern outdoor stadium located in Exhibition Place, along Lake Ontario. Originally opened in 2007, it has hosted soccer and Canadian football events and is undergoing significant enhancements for FIFA 2026 

Renovations include:

  • Capacity expansion to 45,736 via ~17,000 temporary seats

  • New center-field lounge and upgraded suites

  • After the tournament: addition of a rooftop patio with 1,000-person capacity
