The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in three North American countries: the USA, Mexico and Canada. For the first time in history, 48 teams will participate in the tournament. 16 cities will accept them: 11 in the United States, 3 in Mexico and 2 in Canada. Below you can learn more about all the host cities.
The United States is one of the three organizers of the soccer tournament in North America. This country has the most cities and stadiums hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup: only eleven out of sixteen locations.
In Mexico, three cities and three stadiums will be involved. By the way, for Mexicans, the upcoming World Cup will be their third home tournament, albeit partially this time. Before that, they held the World Cup in 1970 and 1986.
Canada will be represented by two cities: Toronto and Vancouver. Unlike the USA and Mexico, this tournament will be their debut for the Canadians. Although, in 2015, they gained a lot of experience during the Women’s World Cup.
