In the UEFA (Europe) zone, 54 countries will participate in the World Cup qualifiers. Sixteen of them will qualify for the final round of the North American tournament.
The 12 group winners receive direct tickets to the 2026 World Cup. 4 more will be played in play-off matches, in which 12 second places and four more teams will take part based on the League of Nations ranking.
